Although local SLA-UW events are open to all iSchool students, we encourage you to join the main SLA organization. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the Special Libraries Association represents the interests of over 12,0000 information professionals in more than 80 countries. The association offers a variety of programs and services designed to help its members serve their customers more effectively and succeed in an increasingly challenging global information arena.

Go to SLA’s membership page for more information. There you can apply online or opt to download the SLA membership application in PDF format.
